Meyourge was born from a void. As a Liberian Interior Designer, I spent years looking for spaces that reflected the depth and vibrancy of my heritage, only to find that African aesthetics were often relegated to "trends" rather than celebrated as timeless art.

I created Meyourge to change that. We are more than a home brand; we are a portal. We merge traditional African artistry with the bold energy of modern pop art, creating functional goods that double as conversation pieces.

The History of Ankara: A Fabric of Migration

Central to our design language is Ankara wax print. While many associate these vibrant patterns solely with West Africa, their history is a fascinating journey of migration originating in Indonesia, refined in the Netherlands, and ultimately embraced and reimagined by African hands.

At Meyourge, we continue this evolution. We don’t just use Ankara; we modernize it. We take the traditional motifs you know and reinterpret them through a pop-art lens, ensuring that our textiles feel as at home in a contemporary loft as they do in a traditional compound.

I travel the world and specifically the breadth of the African continent not just for inspiration, but for education.
